Our 120-Day Reentry & Transition Program

The Next Step Housing Program provides individuals transitioning from incarceration with the stability, structure, and support needed to successfully reintegrate into the community.

Through four phases, residents receive housing, mentorship, life-skills development, employment support, and community resource connections

Empowering Next Step Housing & Support Services Community

Phase 1: Stabilization (Days 1–30)

Goal: Establish safety, stability, and accountability.

Services include:

  • Safe and structured housing
  • Orientation and house expectations
  • Individual goal setting
  • Assistance obtaining identification documents
  • Benefits and community resource referrals
  • Medical and behavioral health referrals
  • Weekly progress meetings

Focus Areas:

  • Housing stability
  • Compliance with parole/probation requirements
  • Physical and mental wellness
  • Developing a personal success plan

Phase 2: Personal Growth (Days 31–60)

Goal: Develop life skills and healthy routines.

Services include:

  • Life skills coaching
  • Budgeting and money management
  • Time management
  • Communication and conflict resolution
  • Mentorship and peer support
  • Community integration activities

Focus Areas:

  • Personal responsibility
  • Healthy decision-making
  • Building confidence
  • Establishing positive habits

Phase 3: Employment (Days 61–90)

Goal: Increase independence through employment and community involvement.

Services include:

  • Employment readiness support
  • Resume development
  • Job search assistance
  • Interview preparation
  • Transportation resource referrals
  • Educational and vocational referrals

Focus Areas:

  • Employment
  • Education and training
  • Community engagement
  • Financial independence

Phase 4: Transition to Independence (Days 91–120)

Goal: Prepare residents for long-term success beyond the program.

Services include:

  • Independent housing planning
  • Continued employment support
  • Resource connection and referrals
  • Relapse prevention planning
  • Exit planning and goal review

Focus Areas:

  • Permanent housing
  • Financial stability
  • Continued personal growth
  • Sustainable independence

Program Expectations

Residents are expected to:

  • Follow all house rules
  • Maintain a drug- and alcohol-free environment
  • Comply with parole or probation requirements
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and activities
  • Respect fellow residents and staff
  • Work toward established goals

Program Outcomes

By the end of the 120-day program, participants should have:

  • Stable housing
  • A personalized transition plan
  • Increased life skills
  • Employment or employment readiness

  • Improved self-sufficiency
